VS7 How to capture 16:9 video?

I have DV tape recorded with riato 16:9, after capturing it in VideoStudio 7 (basic) picture is 'thin and tall'. What can I do to make it look normal (with black bars above and below) ?

Try placing the video in the overlay. Center the overlay and zoom out. I'm not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try.
