The last time my paintshop worked just fine. Got on a couple days later and now the program will not load at all. Just says. " Paintshop Pro has stopped working". And that's it. I have searched, tried countless options to see if another program was causing it, I have done nothing to my computer, which is Windows 10, since the last time I used it. Only changes was the normal windows updates. I have a brand new HP slimline desktop computer, maybe 2 months old. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off Kaspersky, turned off everything at start up. I have a feeling it was an update but can not find anything on the web. Anyone here know of anything?
Thank you..
PaintShop Pro X3 just stopped working.

Re: PaintShop Pro X3 just stopped working.
What you could try - if vanilla W10 allows it - is roll back to the previous build and see if the problem goes away.
I had a similar problem with another Corel program. The program in question is no longer supported (hasn't been since 2009), and yet it had worked fine under Windows 7, and until recently W10. I am on the Insider Builds program and get weekly updates to W10. With these, you CAN roll back to the previous build version. Doing that restored the program that had crashed back to full health. However, I suspect you might not be able to do this with W10 that isn't on the Insider rings.
X3 is from 2011 I think, so I would imagine that it is technically not supported under W10, even if it has worked up until now. It is only shown as W7 compatible on Amazon (UK) - W10 isn't mentioned.
As I pointed out in a thread where I mentioned my own problem, what I experienced with W10 insider updates is likely to cross over to the normal W10 public sooner or later - sometimes within a very short time - as new features are added after testing. People should be aware of that.
If I were in your position, one thing I would try is contacting Corel support via chat. They are very helpful, and if they tell you X3 is not supported under W10, at least you'll know once and for all.
If X3 isn't going to work under W10, you might consider installing a virtual machine so you can run it in a W7 environment. However, it might run too slowly to be usable. Just a thought.
