Apply auto transition effect to part of project
In X9 I have 80 jpegs in the middle of a project that I want to insert a cross fade transition in between. Is there a way of auto inserting but only affect these jpegs and not the rest of the project ?

Re: Apply auto transition effect to part of project
Think I need more information .If I select all the jpegs and then go to the crossfade transition to right click it and select “apply current effect to video track” the jpeg selection is cancelled. Am I not trying to do what was suggested? What should I be doing ?

Hi Kenneth
As far as I know you can apply transitions individually or all, but not a selection
You could set F6 preferences transition settings, auto apply
Drag the images to the library as a copy
Delete the images from time line, then add images again, should apply the transition,
First I would save your project as a copy, as a backup

Re: Apply auto transition effect to part of project
Would it be possible to add the jpegs to an overlay track and insert the transitions there?. The main video track could have a black graphic inserted to match the location of the jpegs.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Sorry, you are correct, it was my mistake.Ken Veal wrote:Think I need more information .If I select all the jpegs and then go to the crossfade transition to right click it and select “apply current effect to video track” the jpeg selection is cancelled. I keep thinking that VS can be clever enough to do such relevant task but unfortunately VS is stupid.

Re: Apply auto transition effect to part of project
Would this be an appropriate issue for the next version wish list ?

Indeed, but unfortunately I guess the wish list so far, is as long as the unsorted bugs list so what to do first?Ken Veal wrote:Would this be an appropriate issue for the next version wish list ?
