Hi everyone, I have attached an image of a sign that reads "Do Not Lock your bike on the gate," and a few feet away was a bike locked. I want to move the bike and the sign closer together. I have PaintShop X9 Ultimate, AfterShot Pro 3, all of the PainShop Pro Scripts, and the Google NIK Tools Plug in. Can't seem to get it. Anyone know how to do it?
Thanks.
Paul

Re: Moving objects closer in the same photo
There are probably at least a couple of methods which would work to move the sign closer to the bike, which would be easier than moving the bike closer to the sign. But if I were to experiment before determining if that's the case I would need a much larger image to start with. Can you post the original somewhere for downloading?

Need a bigger file to see the detail. But first thought is to draw around/select the sign. Copy. Then paste the sign closer to the bike. Then go back and with the clone tool make over the old sign.

Re: Moving objects closer in the same photo
EDIT: Brucet already said this. But it was the first thing that came to my mind as well.
Selections, layers, and the clone tool .
Make a selection around the sign and promote that to its own layer. Then use the clone tool to attempt to erase the sign. You can also just use the magic fill....but I don't know how well that would work. Then move the sign layer into position.
Another option would be the smart carver command. Smart Carver lets you identify the pieces you want to keep and the pieces you want to remove, and then it cuts them out attempting to keep most of the image, and not distorting the parts you specify as important. You could just remove the distance between the bike and the sign entirely. It'll destroy the size of the image, but provided you crop it that shouldn't be a big deal.
Like JoeB says, there's a lot of different ways to handle this. But the resized image doesn't give us a good enough view of all of the things that could make it easy or hard to move the sign.

You guys are the best, thank you! A larger image is difficult because the forum limits the size, but thank you for the responses!

But you could post a larger image to one of the web sites like Dropbox or One Drive from where it could be downloaded...
