Perfectly Clear Complete :-(

Post by Nige_ »

HI guys. Not moving forward with slow support from Corel. I bought Perfectly Clear Complete last week from inside PSP x9 64 bit. I installed it but the plugin is not showing up. I previously bought Perfectly Clear 2SE and that is there and working. After installation of 'Complete' there are no visible changes to PC2SE (no extra options appeared etc.) and no new plugin is visible. I see in the manual PDF in the installation folder shows "Perfectly Clear Complete" text underneath the large six "icons" for the various one button fixes.

I tried support and they referred me to an article on how to install plugins http://www.wikihow.com/Install-Paint-Shop-Pro-Plugins I tried various location permutations and restarted the program and even the PC and no luck. Tried unintalling PC2SE, again no luck, the new plugin is not visible after installation or setting file locations.

I also tried the other fix for addons as I had trouble installing others previously (creating a new temporary admin account and installing the program/addons in that account before logging back into my normal account - which worked for the other problems but not for Perfectly Clear Complete.)

I have run out of ideas now, I'm at a complete loss on how to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm probably missing something really simple but can't figure it lol.

Cheers,

Nige.

Isn't that a 32 bit plugin?
Can you check if you see it in the 32 bit version of PSP?

According to the website it's 32 and 64 bit compatible.

Hey guys.

Just to update, support came through for me and sorted it for me by a remote session in TeamViewer. The support guy tried the conventional installation the same I I tried and found it did not work. He tried a couple of permutations and then resorted to installing Perfectly Clear Complete to a high level folder in 'My Documents' under a folder he manually named 'PERFECTLY CLEAR'. He then copied the plugin from that folder to the following folder: "C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9 (64-bit)\PlugIns\EN\PerfectlyClearForPSP" and restarted the PC. Upon instantiating PSP and loading a photo into the editor, PC Complete was now showing up.

Thought I'd post this in case anyone else runs into the same problem I had.

Best wishes to all and thanks for looking/replying.
