x10...no 23.976 BR burning...truly disgusting
Why has this not been fixed. This is extremely important for people who dont have 60fps 1080p on all of their cameras. 30p is not a BR standard and Im sure not going to burn in 30i. It is still forcing people to burn in 25p PAL when they try to burn a 23.976 file. Also can you even burn 4k with x10? I already own 1 4k 60fps camera but plan on buying 2 more. When I choose bluray in project settings then go to burn I dont see anyhting that tells me Im about to burn something in actual 4k. I love how easy it is to create a menu, chapters, insert my own backgrounds and music when creating a disc...but all of that means nothing if I cant burn my file the way it needs to be burn. They need to fix whats important before adding new features!!!!

If you do so much work in 4K and BR, how about getting a proper BR authoring software? VS is basically for video editing.

or....they could simply not offer a feature that doesnt work. They had no trouble selling me a BR disc plug in that is crippled. So you are telling me that its ok for them to let me create a file and give me the ability to create discs but I cant create a disc in the file format I just created with the same program???? Making excuses for them wont fix their problems or make them a better and more complete program. I shouldnt have to buy 4 programs just to get what I videoed to a disc. Every feature they have spent time adding to x10 still does not fix these incredibly critical flaws that should not have even been flaws in the previous version. No 4k burning in a program released in 2017???? what the hell are they thinking??? I can do 4k with a phone for god's sake but cant put it on a disc!!!! Also I can do multicam editing and 360 degree video editing(from what I read) but cant do something as basic as 23.976 BR or put 4k to disc. Which do you think is a greater need??? 360 degree video or 23.976p and 4k video since millions of people have 4k tvs now.

I understand your steam but you will be amazed how many things still do not work "in a program released in 2017???? "

Don't do Blueray nor any DVD any more, so can't help there. However, I do lots of 4K, both source files and sharing/rendering and this works fine.atwsportscast wrote:Why has this not been fixed. Unless you have a new BR burner that can specifically burn UHD, you can't. You can burn a file though.
Currently with UHD BD-ROM videos can be stored at a maximum of 3840×2160 pixel resolution at up to 60 (59.94) frames per second, progressively scanned. While most current Blu-ray players and recorders can read and write 1920×1080 video at the full 59.94p and 50p progressive format, new players for the UHD specifications will be able to read at 3840×2160. Then you will need a UHD bluray player to play those 4K video discs on.

Re: x10...no 23.976 BR burning...truly disgusting
One of my colleagues (lata) has played around with this and succeeded in burning a 23.97/24P video to Blu-Ray. Unfortunately he is currently travelling, and I can't immediately find his post on this. But IIRC he said that if you had a BD compatible mpeg-2 or AVCHD file at 24 fps and inserted it into the burning module, making sure that "Do not convert compliant MPEG files" was ticked, then that would not be converted to 25/30i during the burning process. If you "burn" a BD folder instead of an actual disc, you could then check the clips in the STREAM sub-folder to make sure they were still 24p.atwsportscast wrote:It is still forcing people to burn in 25p PAL when they try to burn a 23.976 file.
