4K default settings for 30 fps in Australia

Post by mds70 »

Hi Guys

Bit of a story here

With the advance in technology, more to the point, smartphone camera quality, I seem to be doing most of my filming now with my phone.
1. because I generally always have it with me and 2. I can shoot in 4k at 30 fps.
That being said, smart phones these days tend to only shoot at either 24, 30 or 60 fps
Even in Australia.
I like to shoot at 30 or 60 fps anyway for the fact that most social media thingies these days tend to upload to 30 fps even though I live in Australia where we are blessed with 25 and 50 fps.
To be totally honest, with the technology and the old adich of 25 fps to match the regions 25hz I think is long gone or not as relevant as it used to be.
With the introduction of LED lighting, it doesn't seem to pose much of a problem anymore.

Anyway to my question.....

After editing in VS x6 ultimate, all of the presets for final render right up to 4k are either 25 of 50 fps.
I can set a custom render setting at 30 fps but only as high as 1920 x 1080.
From memory, when I installed VS it asked me what region I was in (PAL or NTSC) which at the time was a no brainer which has obviously set all my presets

Question is...... is there a way I can change these default to 30 or 60 fps (NTSC)?????

I suppose I could re-install the program and select NTSC but I don't really want to do that if I don't need to.

Cheers

Mick

Hi, I think only since X9 Pal/ntsc settings can be changed from the preferences
In X6 you can do so only in the registry.
You can make 2 options on your desktop and invoke each when needed.
Have you set in F6 to "show msg at 1'st clip...."?
Have you tried making new project profile with ALT+ENTER ?

*** you can try use this tool by import a needed settings.
