One more question: I'll be adding a bunch of slides in JPG on the right side.
Is there a way to apply the same x,y and width, height params to all the pictures after I configured the first one?

Edit: Apparently, right-click on first slide, select "Copy Attributes", then select the next slide, select "Paste Optional Attributes", click on "All" to uncheck all options, and check only "Size & Distortition".
Maybe there's a way to perform this step to all slides in one go.
Hello Shohreh -
As Brian pointed out executing the VS portion of your project is simple and straight forward.
The important and more complex part of your project: planning the work flow and details. Here is how I would broadly approach your project.
Prep
1. First determine the finished video profile (mine are generally 1920x1080 for TV and computer monitor viewing).
2. Determine the CROPPED inserted video size (from your sample).
Those two properties will be used to set the PowerPoint slide dimensions.
PowerPoint
1. Set the PPT page dimensions then block out the area that will have your inserted video.
2. Set any dividing lines/graphics/whatever - save as your page template.
3. Create all of your PPT presentation within the temple you created.
4. Export your completed PPT presentation as individual JPG files (PowerPoint does this as a File > Save As batch process).
VideoStudio
1. Begin your VS project, add your media library: video(s), slides, music, etc.
2. Add your PPT slides and any other images(such as black frames) to the time line track. These will drop right into place with no need to format (you already did that in PowerPoint).
3. Add video(s) to the overlay track.
4. Format the overlay video to fit the cropped size you determined above. Trim as required.
5. Add breaks, transitions, music, voice overs, any stuff you need for timing and polish.
6. Generate and publish!
