Feathering One Photo Into Another
Hypothetical case: I extract an image of myself from the waist up and want to paste it onto another photo e.g. horse to create one of those Greek mythology characters (forget the name - doesn't matter). Can I feather my waist and the portion of the horse to which I am pasting and, if so, how?

Yes, it is possible. I tried it once many years ago with PSPX2. - http://levifiction.deviantart.com/art/C ... -105805899
You can do this in any number of ways. Usually using separate layers helps. Place a portion of the horse on a blank top layer. You can then use the eraser tool with a large softness to gently fade the edges. You can also use tools like the smudge tool to drag the edges of the layer to create a more fur like appearance. Or you can just do a selection using any of the selection tools with a decent feather to create a faded look to your half.

Re: Feathering One Photo Into Another
I did this in the past by putting the two photos on different layers and using a black/white gradient mask to blend them together.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.
