Installing 32 bit version of PSP X9

Post by davmurimd »

I have just installed the 64 bit version of PSP X9. I now want to install 32 bit version. The user manual says this can be done after initial installation, but I cannot find how to do it. Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks

When you install, you have the choice to install ONLY the 32 bit version ORonly the 64 bit version OR BOTH. You need to select "BOTH". You will have two PSP on your PC. You launch the 32 bit or the 64 bit (both cannot be opened at the same time).

Thank you. I must have installed 64 bit only. I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling but I did not see the options you describe. It looks like I have to go back to the initial download somehow. I am not sure how I can do this without buying another copy!

For the record I solved the problem. I uninstalled the 64 bit version and went to the confirmation of my order email and downloaded PSP X9 from there. The file was named PSPX9_PF. My previous download did not have the _PF added to the name. The option screen for 32 bit. 64 bit or both was very clear and I do not understand how I could have missed it. The only thing I can think of is that activating my trial version did not include this screen.

That's one of the reasons we normally recommend that people don't just activate the trial version. AFAIK the PSP trial only comes in 64 bit, so that's why you only got that build when you activated the trial.
