X10 hangs when using Triple scoop music.

Hi. I just downloaded X10 today. While exploring, I clicked on the Triple scoop library and it started preparing the library. but abut 90 percent into it, the preparing just hangs and you have to shutdown VSX10 through task manager. Has anyone else seen this yet? I know not many have X10 yet but I'm hoping someone has seen this and has a fix.

yes it hangs for me also. If it's the first item I select it often causes VS X10 to crash, other times it says it is preparing the library but stops at that 90% you mentioned. I opened ticket but after being asked to submit a biopsy of my computer hardware and software I left it. I don't wish to share all that info for something they need to fix. I;m getting crashes in other areas on the timeline also so it appears there's some bugs to be ironed out.

This is a problem for all users of X10 i.e. it is indeed a bug. The developers are aware of it and are working on a fix, which hopefully will not take too long.

Personally, while I too get the crash with the Triple Scoop library setup, I got it only because I wanted to see what you and others were talking about. But I have no intention to use Triple Scoop or the sound effects (which you largely have to pay for), so have now hidden those folders in the VS library screen, so now I won't be tempted to induce another crash!

I'm with Ken on this one too. I have enough music to choose from at the moment. There is some good music in the TSM group. But, I just really won't bother with it. Unless they had a great sale, it will be a folder I won't open.

Same thing here. I hope Corel fixes the problem soon.

I received a reply from Corel support on this issue this evening. They suggested resetting my libraries to see if it corrected the problem, which it did. Perhaps it will work for everyone else.

How do you reset the libraries? Aside from that same problem, I just noticed that an "X" pattern appears during encoding and in the final clip while using Mercali. Have you had that problem?

In the "Settings" menu, select "Library Manager" and then "Reset Libraries".

As for the "X" over the final clip using Mercalli, see lata's response to my post "Mercalli filter in VSX10". There's a link to a patch you can download that will solve the "X" problem.
