youtube channel via Videostudio...

Post by garjobo »

Hello People of the World

Blasted Videostudio hey!! hardly used the thing and as per the norm it FAILS to do what you want it too do!!

So - i have uploaded my usual excellent gaming footage from Elgato game capture MPEG 4 over to Videostudio. Only a couple of minutes footage ( short is sweet ), but i click on the usual export / render youtube tab but each time it comes up with ' not connected to internet' or words to that effect. I am connected, a good connection...clearly some miscommunication between wonderful! videostudio and the internet.

Btw, the 'not connect to internet' side comes up IN videostudio. Again, im online etc, no issues at all, and have a youtube account ( tried exporting from the more basic Elgato device 'press youtube' button..and it works fine...just the editing features etc need videostudio re titles etc

Can anyone advise? always something with this programme it seems.

CHEERS ( oneday i will make my riches from my youtube channell..once i actually upload to it!!! )

Hi

There was a problem using Video Studio to upload to YT, as far as I know fixed with a very recent service patch 4.

Go to Help - Check for updates

Install any available patches

The latest fully patched version is X19.6.0.1

You can always log-on to your YT account via your browser and not use VS, yep I know VS should work ok.

youtube changes things on their back-end. When THEY do this, every editor that has a youtube upload ability has to change it on THEIR end. So, the editor is always playing catch up. Youtube does not notify anyone when this happens. It's when users try to upload from within the editor that it is noticed.
So to blame VS on it is not really being fair. Now... when youtube does makes changes and Corel is aware of it and does nothing... then the complaints are fair on Corel's inaction on it.
Personally, I export my video and upload via youtube. A couple more clicks and done.
