Photologo watermark

Post by AlChristenson »

I recently received a Photologo signature watermark (in 4 ".png" files). I am relatively new to watermarking and want to find the easiest way to save the files as a brush or something to easily be able to apply to photographs and to resize them as required. A long time ago, I remember a problem (?) with Corel PSP in that it wouldn't allow the watermark to be placed where desired on the photo .... it had to be in a corner or in the center, etc. but couldn't be dragged to a user-desired spot. Is that still the case or has that limitation be fixed by now? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You could save the png file as a picture tube and then when ready to apply, put it on a new transparent layer and then move it around / rotate it with the Pick tool. The picture tube allows some scaling as well.
Practice with a picture tube first to see if it is worth going that way.

Hey!

Do you know if there are any tutorials? I've tried different things but it doesn't work as I'd like it to. Are there any step by step guides with screenshots?

I googled 'psp picture tube tutorial' and got a screenful of results, including youtube videos and PDFs, from Corel among others.
If you take a look there and still have questions I'm sure the good people here will be happy to help.

Also in a sticky post at the top is reference to a series of tutorials :

http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52821
You are given step by step instructions / tutorial on how to use a picture tube as a watermark.
May also be worthwhile doing the course to build up your knowledge of PSP. They are fairly easy and well explained.
