Error message when editing DVD-VR

When I edit a DVD-RW. for several minutes, I receive a message that indicates an error has occurred and my choices are either to Debug or Close. Either way, I lose the work I have already completed. Has anyone else encountered this error? If so, what can I do to to fix it? Will any program updates fix it? I have MovieFactory 4. Thanks:(

How did you create the dvd-vr disk?
In a desktop recorder?
If so, what "Name" & "Model".
What's the name of the media your using? (Memorex? uh...oh )

I created the dvd-RW disk using a Pioneer DVD Recorder (DVR-320). It's not a dvd-vr as I previously noted. The media is a Maxell DVD-RW disk.
