-Burning DVD's
I have edited my video clips and they play fine in the 'Timeline'. I go to 'Share' to burn a DVD and select 'MPEG 2'. This brings up the 'TV' icon. ie. top one in the list of five to the right of the preview window and suggests it will create a disk to play on a computer. I wish to create a DVD to play on a TV set. The file is rendered successfully after clicking 'Start'. After completion of rendering I save the render and if I click 'Start' again, as there appears to be nothing else to activate, it asks me if I want to replace the previous render, which I don't. I am unable to bring up 'Menu and Preview' and there appears to be nothing else to activate. If I click on the disc icon in the list of five I get a virtually blank screen with the video in the preview window and a tick in a blue circle adjacent to the 'Disk' indicator. There is nothing else on the screen, ie. no instruction of what to do next. I have downloaded the manual but it is quite brief regarding burning DVD's. I would appreciate any help. I have raised this problem before but was unable to work on the information as the, I guess, third window, or last window failed to open. Thank you, Rolly.

.
When you go to "Share" - you do not click on mpeg-2 to bring up the TV screen - - actually it's a computer monitor with the words "Create a video that you can play on a computer "
What you actually do is select one of those 5 icons down the middle depending on what you want to do - - often by default the 'computer' icon is already selected and you can then choose what sort of VIDEO you wish to make - now we often tell people to make an mpeg-2 before you burn a DVD
so select mpeg-2 and render your video - remember the name and the location you saved to
when the render is finished and you receive the message that it has completed successful - click on the Disc image (because you now want to burn a disc) and not Start again - you already started
after clicking on the disc you will receive a page asking what sort of disc you wish to make - - select 'DVD'

Hi Brian, I've gone through the process again and I render and save OK but when I then go to the disc icon, nothing happens. I expect 'Next' to come up as it does with the 'Computer Icon' but it doesn't and, in fact, nothing happens at all. I just get a blank screen, apart from the 'Preview Window' which is active.

are you using VideoStudio ??? - next doesn't come up for me when I click the computer icon

so after clicking on the disc icon you do not see this ??
