Missing Video Folders in Edit View VS X7

Post by westlight »

VS X7 Pro

I had not used this program for sometime. When I launched it all of the Folders I had previously created which contained my different clips have disappeared. When I try to add a new clip as a test they do not show up anywhere in the Thumbnail window. The only thing showing up there is the samples that came with the program.

I had been having issues with my PC and have to wonder is wherever these folders would have been stored got deleted or corrupted? Not even sure where to look.

Also, thinking I might have to reinstall the program I could not find the original download. Can that be downloaded again and if so where would I find it?

Thanks for any help!

Hi

A little late to advise you to look after your installation files.

We do not work for Corel, just volunteers looking after the forum so I cannot say if Corel will provide you with that download again.
You should contact Corel Support and cross your fingers.

The X7 installation files are 2 Gb and called VSX7_Ultimate_PF_x64.exe
The ultimate pack is called appropriately VSX7_Ultimate_Bonus_x64.exe (1.5Gb), although you mention Pro.
At least that’s what I see, do a search of your pc, you will also need the serial number/s to re-install the program, but should get those from your Corel account, assuming you registered the program.

When we install the program, files are extracted and saved to our pc here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7

These could be used to re-install the program, although I cannot guarantee, you are of course best using the correct installation files.

I cannot understand why your thumbnails do not show, unless the libraries are hidden, view the three icons at the top adjacent to the Orange disc – Get More Content, make sure the three are showing as yellow.
