magnetic lasso altrernative

hello is there any tool similar to magnetic's lasso photoshop in PSX7?

For those like me who don't know anything about photoshop, maybe you could describe what you are looking for?
"Magnetic lasso" sounds to me like something that might be the Smart Selection brush, maybe with smart edge activated. Or maybe the Freehand Selection tool, Selection Type "smart edge"? (Options on the tool options palette, menu View/Palettes/tool options or keyboard shortcut F4)

Forriner is correct, the Freehand selection tool is what you're looking for. then you'll set the "Selection Type" to either "Edge Seeker" or "Smart Edge." Edge Seeker is the one that acts most like the magnetic lasso tool. Smart Edge has you dragging a box around the edges of the object giving it a very confined space to search for edges.
