muddy aftershot pics on psp 9, why????

Post by photogsassisant »

So, i recently upgraded from psp 7 to psp 9 and aftershot 3 pro. I am shooting raw and edit in aftershot. Seems when i try and either export or open any photo edited in aftershot, to psp 9 they are always muddy. The same pics look perfectly fine in any other photo viewer including psp 7.

Why is this? How can it be corrected. Make psp 9 useless for me as i am stuck doing any additonal jpg editing after afterhot in psp 7 instead of 9. Makes me want money back?

If i take the raw photo and do all eiditing with in psp 9, things are fine. This only seem to apply to any photos edited through aftershot pro.

Any ideas? Should i get a refund? Is this a know bug that is gonna be fixed? I am very dissapointed in this flaw.

I also had they my start rating dotn carry over between psp and aftershot, seems simple thing that corel should have added.

What do you mean by "muddy" ? Could you post a screen capture ?

Ok, not great photos, i know. But they show what i am talking about. This is the exact same photo, same file, same file location. was origininally edited in aftershot. View is accurate in aftershot, view is ok in psp 7, but terrible in psp9?

My origal reason was to just to practise editing, learning. I wanted to remove the hydro wires in psp9. Had to use psp 7 to practise that.

Have you checked if Color Management is on or off (menu File/Color management...). Just turn it off if it's on, or on if it's off. PSP's so-called color management isn't famous for working.
