PIX3 - Setting to determine where photo window opens

Post by joeg »

Hi from Berlin,

PhotoImpact X3 works fine on my Win7 x64 machine, but I have a little issue.

When I open a photo to edit, the window it opens in is somewhere/anywhere in the main window. I'd like it to always open in the top left corner. Is there a setting or something that will do this?

Here's a picture of what I mean:

Thanks very much.

You should be able to drag the image window to the upper left where you want it. There's also the same window controls (minimize (-), Maximize, and Close, located in the upper right corner of the image window.

Thanks very much Ron. What I'm looking for, though, is a setting that will get it to open there all the time.

Do you have any idea what details of the photo help PI X3 "decide" where it actually opens the image? Does it have anything to do with the image size or shape?

I ask because sometimes pictures do, in fact open in the top left corner (as I'd like), but other times, they don't. :-(

Again, thanks very much.

There's no setting that I'm aware of or can locate, to have images/documents to open in a specific manner or location. So while it is a small inconvenience, you would need to manually preposition it.
