I try to captur my video footage from a Canon Elura 85 DV camcorder and used the DV format to save and Split-by-Scene. The resulting video clips were stored in the designated folder. When I clicked each clip, the video plays in MS Media Player correctly. However, when I tried to "Insert Video file to Timeline (or Library), an error message appeared "The file uvsxxxxx.avi contains no video data" and thus could not be inserted in the Video Library. There must be a configuration or setting incorrectly set but I could not find it. Could someone help me how to correct this problem. Thanks.
When the same footage was captured in the MPEG format, each clip automatically was inserted in both the Timeline and Library.
Video clip contains no video data

update your VS
Is this the first time you insert such file or have done it previously and worked fine? If this is the first time to insert such avi file, maybe you need to update your VS version with its latest patch update from their website. If it worked previously that way, why don't you try inserting other clips instead or recapture it again. ^_^
