I've been searching to find answer to this. I probably am using wrong search terms.
I dropped the bubbles FX effect on a short clip. I'd like those bubbles to fade in and out, as opposed to just instantly being there then gone.
Can anyone give me any hints?

Click on the Customize, which will open a dialog window with several adjustment sliders. You will need to experiment with them to find what will work for you. I'd look at the size and density ones. There is not a fade. However those settings can be key-framed.

Re: How fade in/out an FX Effect
it's very simple 56,
1) duplicate your clip
2) place it on overlay track below the original (make sure it will full screen)
3) apply bubble to one of them
4) split and clear the relevant segment as you want
5 apply crossfade trans.

Re: How fade in/out an FX Effect
I assumed the relevant track is the bubbles track. I went into Customize Filter, added a key frame...and the Fade In and Fade Out icons are greyed out. Again, the track I tried to customize is the Bubble Effect added.asik1 wrote:it's very simple 56,

I understand split; Is the track with the bubbles the "relevant track"?
5 apply crossfade trans.
I appreciate your help. Sorry if my questions are too basic.

56, either clip can be the relevant.
One is "bubbled" the other isn't.
We know that the Fade In and Fade Out icons are greyed out hance you need to split and delete those segments when you want to view the other clip .

Hi
There are two customise options the basic and advanced, you need the advanced, right click your clip for options.
The attached VSP project file shows the effect.
Hope this helps

Re: How fade in/out an FX Effect
I am not understanding the thought of duplicating, and having one on the second line as overlay. It don't understand the concept of deleting part of the other...to accomplish fade in and fade out. Seems to me it would still be instant in and instant out.asik1 wrote:56, either clip can be the relevant.

Sorry, I must be dense at the moment.
Yes, that was very helpful. I was able to duplicate that and achieve the fades.lata wrote:Hi
