Can't install VideoStudio X9 Trial

From www.videostudiopro.com I selected the download trial button and saved the file. Then I ran it as indicated.

I pressed Next at the Welcome screen and accepted the terms. About 10 second or so after the download progress screen showed up I received the following message "We encountered a problem while installing." The installation terminated.

Has anyone encountered this, or are there any known issues? I have
WIndows 10 (64 bit)
Intel i7 6600K
16 GB RAM

Support gave me a link to another download location and it works now.

Hey I'm having the exact same issue on 2 machines. A Surface Pro 3 and my Home Built Box Both Windows 10. It gets to the point where it says it is downloading a 1.00 B file (yep. 1 B) and doesn't do anything... then pops up and says "We encountered a problem while installing." Seems like the installation servers may be down or having some other kind of issue?

Thanks for sharing this. I wonder what is so different with the link; did they tell you anything about why the program at the link works while the regular one doesn't?

No, she didn't say. Must be getting it from a different place, but I'm not sure why they would have two separate download locations.
