Issue with Tagging in X9

Post by KathrynMB »

Can anyone help?
I recently bought Corel PaintShop Pro X9. My issue is that it won't add the tag to images I have adjusted and exported with a modified name. (ie "adj-sm" added to the file number.) They were adjusted and exported as xxx.JPG in GIMP software. When I try to use X9 to tag ie. 'osprey', the program says probably 'read-only' and when I check, they are not. It works fine on images I have not touched. I have WAY too many of these to not figure this out. If I can't, then the software and organization plans are futile. (btw Win10)
I think I figured it out... every folder is set for 'read only' and every time I remove it Win10 puts it back. Not fond of Windows.

More to add:
I think it is a weird glitch in the program. It will tag if I save as another image, but there are too many to do that. This project is massive enough. Here is what message I get...

And another weird thing... when I try and then click on another image, the photo size changes to zero (on screen only) to the one that failed tagging.

Funny... the program let me tag the image with a person 'bird' but won't take a tag ‘bird’ in the general part.

I just checked one of my folders - it is set as Read Only but the files in it are not and I am able to add tags. Have you checked the properties of the individual files with which you are having problems?
