Paint Shop Pro X9 Keeps Crashing!!!!
Purchased your software but both the x32 & x64 versions of your software keep crashing within Windows 10! The software is at a point where it is useless to use because of the constant crashing! I have been on your forums and it seem to be a problem with the software! I have tried numerous attempts to fix the issue, reinstall software, reinstall windows, disabled anti-virus, run as administrator etc. So therefore, might be looking at a refund for this software as it is unusable!

I have the same problem. I submitted a support ticket and the support person hasn't been helpful yet. If you figure anything out let me know.

If you're wanting help you need to give us a little more information, just saying it keeps crashing gives us nothing to work with. If you're wanting a refund then you need to go to Corel's main website. This web forum is staffed and visited by users of their various products.
So can you describe what you were doing when it crashed? Is it just one thing? Does it crash on launch? We need more info to better help.

Please report details about Windows 10, there are many versions around..scratscorel wrote:Purchased your software but both the x32 & x64 versions of your software keep crashing within Windows 10! In response to Ron P.
Well the software will load but soon as you go to work with editing the software will just simply crash! This will happen in both x32 and x64 versions. There is no explanation for the crash, if I click on clone brush " Crash" Now sometimes it wont happen immediately but it will certainly happen within 5 minutes of the software being loaded up. And again this no matter what kind of editing or what tool I am using.
I have done the obvious to try and figure out what might be causing the crash, disabling and reinstalling anti-virus, graphics driver, direct x, clean reinstall of windows, clean reinstall of paint shop and also using the clean up software tool provided by Corel. And also tried the software on another PC running windows 10 just to eliminate any hardware problems. Same Problem! Also now with other users joining this thread with the same issue it simply seems to me a paintshop pro vs windows 10 bug!!!!!
"Corel PaintShop Pox X9 (64-bit) has stopped working" It even crashed while trying to create this image attachment "No Pun Intended"!
So any help or advice would be helpful.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X9 Keeps Crashing!!!!
Except for the Pen Tool that occasionally crashes, X9 has been the most stable version for me on Windows 7 in a very long time. My workout, remove the Pen Tool so I don't accidentally click on it, I rarely have need for it. So sorry it's not working for you. Here's what I think you may want to try and I got the idea from my son's recent and finally successful attempt to fix his sister's laptop both computers running Windows 10. They play the same game, one worked flawlessly on his laptop, the same game kept crashing on hers so she plays the game on his laptop occasionally.
What he did and that's just taking advantage of what's already there in Windows 10 — https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/409 ... -10-a.html
Long story short, after failing to fix this for over a year, it's finally fixed and as you can imagine, she no longer needs to hog his laptop anymore
Good luck.

That's was not much help I'm afraid, removing tools or what I think your suggesting is to use Windows 7 kind of defeats the whole object. The link you provided just provides information on how to "How to Refresh Windows 10"! This has already been done! Also you should not need good luck to get the software to work but some help and advice on a sensible solution to the problem.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X9 Keeps Crashing!!!!
I was just stating the Windows version I'm using not suggesting changing the OS at all. Sorry if I had missed the part/post about having already tried resetting Windows 10. I'm beginning to see a pattern of compatibility issues involving Windows 10 after reading another thread "PSP X9 Locks Up" with no help from Corel.scratscorel wrote:That's was not much help I'm afraid, removing tools or what I think your suggesting is to use Windows 7 kind of defeats the whole object.
