Someone might find this quite interesting.
Using CAM monitor and a 3.3sec 4K - .MOV - H.264 - MPEG 4 Low AAC.
5 instances of the file is placed on the timeline for load testing. Render is saved as MPEG-4 AVC (1920x1080, 25p, 15bps)
It's basically this test without OBS running - https://youtu.be/nH8-cAOtptg
RAM usage went up 0.4GB on the i7 4770 so I didn't bother checking the others.
All tests off-line. On-line off-line seems to make no difference.
Video is 5 pieces of 4K - see above - 16.15sec total.
i7 4770 - GT210 - Win7 64 - X9.5
At rest : CPU 7% - GPU 0%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 19% - GPU 0%
Rendering : CPU 30% - GPU 1%
Time : 1:22
Conclusion - Render speed pretty fast.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i7 960 - GT610 with std Win driver - Win7 64 - X9.5
At rest : CPU 0% - GPU na%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 19% - GPU na%
Rendering : CPU 31% - GPU na%
Time : 1:54
Conclusion - GPU doesn't do much so I didn't bother installing the GT610 drivers. Average speed
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i7 960 - GT610 with std Win driver - Win7 64 - X7
At rest : CPU 4% - GPU na%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 4% - GPU na%
Rendering : CPU 44% - GPU na%
Time : 1:01
Conclusion - GPU doesn't do much so I didn't bother installing the GT610 drivers. Speed ok.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Core2Duo E8500 - GT210 - XP 32 SP3 - X7
At rest : CPU 0% - GPU na%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 9% - GPU na%
Rendering : CPU 88% - GPU na%
Time : 2:02
Conclusion - Can't run CAM because XP is too old so I used Task Manager. Slow-ish
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Core2Duo E8500 - GT210 - Win7 64 - X9.5
At rest : CPU 5% - GPU 0%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 68% - GPU 0%
Time : 2:53
Rendering : CPU 83% - GPU 3%
Conclusion - Rather slow-ish. This one has a mech HDD where as the others are all SSD, but when it was rendering the usually noisy HDD was quite, indicating it wasn't being used.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i7 4770 - GT210 - Win7 64 - VS11.5
At rest : CPU 5% - GPU 2%
Edit/Move cursor on timeline : CPU 18% - GPU 0%
Rendering : CPU 22% - GPU 3%
Time : 0:51 - VS11.5 can only do 720p MPEG4
Conclusion - Render speed fast.

Re: PC Load Testing
I went back and measured the render times, not for any reason, just because it's interesting.
