Custom Download Directory
Whenever I try to download PaintShop Pro X9 Free Trial it automatically selects a drive which doesn't have enough space. It's a small SSD for my OS so I can't delete anything. How do I select a custom download directory?

Re: Custom Download Directory
It might help to know your operating system, which internet browser you use, and which download site (starting download redirects me to a local language site).
This goes for my Windows 10 Home system.
The Chrome browser opens up a "save as" dialog box, pointed at my \user\downloads directory. I can navigate to anywhere and then download. This is because I have checked "ask where to save each file before downloading" in Chrome's Settings/advanced settings/downloads.
Internet Explorer 11 places a banner at the bottom "Do you want to run or save PSP" with three buttons: Run, Save, Cancel. The save button has a down arrow. Click that, and you can "save as...", and direct the download to anywhere.
It's possible that the banner disappears before you can click anything, in which case the "if your download doesn't start automatically, click here" option at the top of the page should work.
In the browser options (the gear wheel in IE11) there's a "view downloads" option (ctrl+j). At the bottom left of the pop up dialog box there's an "options" link where you can set a default download location.
In Microsoft Edge, Settings/Advanced settings (at the bottom)/downloads you can set a download directory. When I downloaded from Corel I got the same type of "want to save, save as, cancel" banner at the bottom of the screen as in IE 11.
Other browsers may work differently.

I downloaded from that site from Chrome. I'm using Windows 10 Pro
And I'm not talking about the download directory. I'm talking about the install directory.

Thread title:
It's been a long time since I installed a trial version of Paintshop Pro, but bought and paid for versions allow you to choose an install directory during installation. At least up until version X7, that is.
Maybe someone with recent experience will chime in, maybe not.

Re: Custom Download Directory
Just downloaded the trial version of X9, and yes you're correct, it will not allow you to designate where to install. In fact I was busy on the forums, when it done this. I was expecting to just download, then install. However the stub, not only downloaded, but installed it without my interaction. Not a good thing.
