Just installed PSP X9 (Have X7 on my computer as well)
I seem to have an issue with the Text presets. In the Drop Down Menu of the presets the preview displays all presets in the same Font. The colors and sizes are different, but not the Font. See screen caps attached. Cap 1 shows the Arial Font is displayed in all presets. The size changes the toolbar on some but not all as some of the smaller ones still display 48. The only toolbar item that seems to change with each preset is the color. Cap 2 shows an example where the Preset is hilited and the Font is named correctly in the toolbar box but displayed as Arial. When you use the text presets on the picture they just write out in an Arial Font and not a preset font. Looking at any screenshots from the Corel website and also google search, the preset menu should display what the preset looks like in all aspects. Also when writing to a photo it should change font, color etc.
Does anyone else have this issue and/or have a solution to this problem, as the presets seem useless and I may as well just make my own.
I haven't tried to make a custom Preset, save it and see what it displays. That is my next step.
EDIT: I have Tested a few Custom Presets that I have saved and they work OK. It saves the settings, displays the custom preset and when adding to a picture work fine. What is wrong with the ones that come with PSP. Does anyone know if they can be deleted and then somehow reinstalled redownloaded without Uninstalling the program and reinstalling.

Re: PSP X9 Preset Text Issue
I may have figured this out ? It seems that the stylized presets font's are not downloaded/installed with the preset. If you don't have the font on your system it defaults to Arial.
As an example I have found that the "Army" preset should be the Stencil font, which I don;t have on my computer. It defaults to Arial and shows in the dropdown as Arial font. the colors are Ok. Just the font issue. I noticed this while looking at an Online Tutorial from Corel about Font Presets.
Has anyone else seen this issue.
I guess the solution is to download the font and then save/over rite the preset.
Seems counter intuitive to a preset provided. Corel should install the font with the downloaded preset !! Glad I didn't buy any premium ones and just installed the free ones.

Re: PSP X9 Preset Text Issue
Coincidentally, I happen to have the Stencil font installed, though don't remember installing it. But I agree it seems a bit strange to provide presets without the font to back them up. However, I just select a preset and then just go through my installed fonts to find one I like with the preset effect, and choose that. Simple enough, though it takes a bit more time...
