What so unique about "Save same as first clip" ?
How many different resolutions/formats projects you do that you can't set their properties correct?

Non of us in the forum claim that VS is the beacon of best and effective programing (few will say defective..)

The only reason I have VS is because it can "Save same as first clip", because it's very fast, and X9 doesn't like MPGs on my PCs

Trust me the trial is the same as full, Corel adds extras sometime as an incentive to buy, and that's the only extras.
Hi

The trial download consists of a folder called VideoStudioX9, within that folder is the Web Installer VideoStudio.exe at 10mb.
There is also a folder called 64bit, at least for me it’s a 64Bit folder.
That contains a folder called Trial at 1.01Gb and that’s the program.

The full ultimate version has a few extras a total file size of 4.05 Gb.
The prodad package folder is called Bonus Features at 1.5 Gb, without that and you effectively have the Pro version

Anyone downloading the program now will get the fully patched version, the download files being updated immediately after the last upgrade to CVSX 9.5.

Disc version
As for the disc version I do not know if that is the CVSX 9.0 original version or the CVSX 9.5.
If the original version you will be prompted to download the service pack when running the disc.
The disc I own does not auto install, I have to locate the VideoStudio.exe web installer file, running that installs the program.
I have copied the contents of the disc to my pc making it a bit easier to install.

The Share “Same as first clip” has been apparently disabled with the trial along with many other formats, in particular Bluray compliant Motion Transport type video.
The Project Properties have been crippled to only accept Standard Definition Mpeg2 and AVI, as such the Show Messages does not work.

I can only advise you to uninstall the trial before trying to install the new program.

Yay, some useful facts that I can actually work with. Thanks for going to all that trouble.

I have the fully updated X9.5(1.02GB), and X9 with the 3 SPs to get it to X9.5, and they have the same result.

I only do basic trim and render the same as - it's so much faster when you rec at the format you want -, so I don't need any of that extra Ultimate stuff. Plus when you have 15TB you don't worry about size.

That's weird, the save “Same as first clip” was working with that OBS clip - I think I made a video of it -, but now it's gone.

Do you remember if the MPEG2 and AVC/H.264 boxes are missing from the share view in the trial?

My Project Properties doesn't have MPEG2 only AVI, but when you go into Edit there is a MJPEG Compressor, if that's MPEG2

I can put MPEG2 on the timeline, but I can't output it - I thought the trial would do the more common MPEG2 because it does the less common .MOV -. and any MPEG4 gets corrupted in the TL.

When you buy it online, do they send you another 1.02GB file?

Image
------------------------------------

I do the save “Same as first clip” because it takes 10sec to render a 60min clip.

All those programs read the same sensor, so they all display the same - I tried it -. I guess my PCs are more efficient with the inferior GPU, because it's at only 3% in all 5 tests.

10% is still a far cry from the bottleneck most believe the GPU to be.

Hi

Please scroll back on this post to Asik’s image, do you see those Share options.

Did you uninstall the trial program before installing your purchased files.

As you have no problems with drive size you should install all the packs giving you the full version. Yep there will be many things you do not need, but one may just be useful to you.

The Full purchased version folder contains 589Files and 56 Folders (size 1.156,886,836 bytes)
The trial version contains 552 Files and 56 Folders (size 1.086,757,088 bytes)

I cannot remember if the MPEG2 option was available using the trial.
But do know that the options available to set the project properties were limited to AVI and Mpeg2, no other options are available. ( settings – project properties.)

AVI-Mjpeg is not Mpeg2

Please uninstall the program and re-install using the disc.

These are the options I see from Project properties.
