Downloading files from Discovery Centre

Post by Winifred »

I downloaded the following:
Holiday Clipart (which works fine and I can access it).
Your Christmas Story (Fastflick Template)
Happy Holidays Slideshow Template

I was given instructions to park the template files as follows:
ProgramFiles/corel/corelfastflick/editingstyle/instantproject

The templates do not work - can anyone help.

I can't download them again as the expiry date of 5th Jan has been reached. I have tried to get a refund but Corel appear to be ignoring me.

Is your copy of fastflick a stand alone version - that is one that did NOT come as part of Videostudio (maybe even as a package with paintshop) because your file location is very different to our project templates location

When you look in your 'instantproject' folder do you see that all templates are in a separate sub folders each containing a number of files - did you put your download in a folder so that it looks like the others

when yo open fast flick does the new template appear in the gallery on the right under "All Templates"

if it does what happens when you select it

Hi

I located the Fast Flick template here
http://shop.learn.corel.com/products/yo ... k-template

I think that is the one

Try adding the template folder to here

C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\EditingStyle\InstantProject

At least that is where my FastFlick templates reside, 25 in all.

But like Brian says, we think it is Fast Flick,
Once you have completed FastFlick you can choose to Edit in Video Studio to complete the project.

My FastFlick came with VS ultimate 9.

How do I access my instant project folder?

The new template does not appear in my fast flick template gallery.

Opening the link to the fast flick template that was sent to me by Trevor requires a further payment. I've already bought it.

I did add the template folder to

C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudioX9\EditingStyle\InstantProject

Many thanks for your help.

Hi

How many templates do you see in Fastflick gallery

I see 25 templates that were provided by the program.

By adding another folder to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudioX9\EditingStyle\InstantProject
Increases the list to 26

So how many do you have.?

OK - I just went through the purchase process and have a working template - no problems

I downloaded a zipped file called - Your_Christmas_Story_Template.zip

on unzipping the download I see two items - one a .pdf containing incorrect installation details and the other a folder called 'Your Christmas Story'

I copied the folder to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\EditingStyle\InstantProject and when I look at that folder I see this
click on image to see it bigger
click on image to see it bigger
if I open the Your Christmas Story folder I see this
Fastflick 02.PNG

if I open Fastflick and scroll to the bottom of "All Themes" I see the template at the bottom like this - where I can select and use it
click on image to see it bigger
click on image to see it bigger

Can you check what you have - is it the same as mine ? - if not what is different

Then I opened Videostudio X9 and opened the 'Instant project' library where I found I had a new sub-folder called "Seasonal & Holiday" - that contained the new template which I could drag and drop to the timeline for editing - like this
fastflick04.PNG

Hi

On looking at your suggested file locations I saw yours was different to the one I initially placed the template in. I have put the file now in the one you said and Christmas Story is now appearing in the fast flick gallery - 26 now. Plus I've got the new seasonal folder you mention in vs9. All I need to find now is Year in Review and I've cracked it! It must be somewhere in the instant projects file in vs9 as I don't think it's a fast flick template.

Thank you for going to so much trouble. It's really appreciated.

Yes if you purchased "Year in Review" (which is a fast flick template) and downloaded that at the same time you will find the download in your default download location

Usually that is a folder on your computer labelled 'Downloads' - but sometimes programmes (or people) change it and it may be in a folder called 'Desktop'

if not in either of those search (using File explorer- search) for Year_in_Review - that should find it

and then as before copy it into the "Instant Projects" folder and all should be good

Hi

First I would save the template to the C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate\

The template should show in FastFlick

If not are you are able to import the templates into Video Studio Instant Projects library, they may show in FastFlick.
It does appear that fast flick and VS are associated in some way, but maybe the VSPTemplate folder?

Just to confuse things there seems to be two types, a FastFlick template and an Instant Project template

Hello

I've imported Year in Review into Instant Projects so I now can access the two templates.

Thank you so much for your time and effort. Both are invaluable to people like me.
