I'm a new user to VS8 and after a couple of months am looking to upgrade. The primary reason is the hassle of inserting new clips and images late in the editing process and then having to readjust music, titles etc..
I understand VS9 has ripple editing which seems an obvious feature, however I see I can also upgrade to Mediastudio V7.
Without a direction to a comparision sheet, what are the pros and cons of VS9 and Mediastudio 7 from a users perspective?
What do you gain from one not the other?
Is Mediastudio a 'pro' version thats difficult?
Cheers!

Don't take life too seriously - it's not permanent!

MSP, as the name suggests has more pro features than VS. I started out with VS 5 and only finished one project with it. It was just too basic for my liking. Upgraded to MSP 6.5 straight after and never looked back. A few years ago I upgraded to MSP 7 because of the additional features over and above MSP 6.5 DirectorsCut.
Even though I have VS 7 (came with my new laptop) I have not used it yet and it's highly unlikely I ever will.
