unwanted tags mystery
As a new user of psp pro X9 I have created a tag and then started adding images to that tag by dragging and dropping. (There are already a number of tags already created in PSP X6). Got about halfway and suddenly discovered dozens of new tags have been created (none of which mean anything to me ! ) I have worked through and deleted all the unwanted tags but when I closed the program and restarted they have all reappeared. Help please !

Re: unwanted tags mystery
I am dragging and dropping from the thumbnails in the preview panel. The tags are all working OK but I have this huge list of unwanted tags (e.g. Necklace , new york city, performance etc etc) all of which have associated photographs which have nothing to do with me and are presumably samples from somewhere and are just cluttering me up !.

Re: unwanted tags mystery
What I did:
1. Had a group of different images.
2. Opened Manage mode and the Tags
3. Added tags for three of the images there.
4. Changed to Manage mode.
5. Went to that folder and checked the images I tagged using Irfanview. The tag names were in the IPTC info under Keywords/Categories.
6. Opened three other images in Irfanview and went to the Keywords/Categories for each and typed in a name for each of those and wrote them back to the file.
7. Opened the folder in the Manage > Collections
8 Double clicked the Tags and found the new tags were now there.
Answer - if any of your images in that folder already have keywords or multiple keywords then they will show as new tags. So check those other images and see if the keywords have been cleared from them.
