Palette - floating Text Tool view X9

Post by siptec »

I've used PaintShop for 15 years and have always had my Palettes float on another monitor to free up editing space. The newest version of PaintShop Pro X9 did allow me to load my workspace and the palettes showed fine except the Text Tool palette won't show all the options within the given space. It now wants to show everything on the same line where before it would wrap other options below. (fig 1)

You now have to click on the more menu to see the remaining options. (fig2) The "Customize" button only allows you to check on or off the available options.

How do you get this to show all options within the palette? I can't find an answer anywhere.

Unfortunately you can't. The toolbar is designed to make it easier for everything to fit on one line. They threw away it's ability to wrap around with the text tool options. The only way to see all of the options in one go is to make the palette long enough for everything to fit on one line, and make sure that all options are checked in the customize dialog.

Thanks for the reply...figured that was the case. It would be nice to be able to control that function...

Funny that some of the other Tool Options still allow wrapping. Oh well...

Siptec, have you considered docking your Tool Options palette at the top or bottom of your work area & format it like LeviFiction suggested.
