Hi

It does seem strange that Video Studio sees the drive with a disc inserted, then only throws an error after pressing Burn and after the “take time to render message.” Appears

Thanks guys. Sounds like I do need to contact Coral Support with the issue of my optical drive - what's best way of doing this please?
Also, have tried to create a .iso image of a Bluray project, but process fell over - this is from Share/Disc/Bluray/create disc image. A screenshot of the error message is attached here:
Capture.JPG
.
Something to do with an "assertion failure"? No idea what that's about! I've a feeling that it's maybe not possible to create an iso file of a Bluray project and that's what's causing this error? In which case, then unless Corel Support can solve my problem with the Pawtec burner, I'll create a folder in future and then use ImgBurn, or else stick with Movie Factory. Thanks again, Clive

Hi

First there is a link via Video Studio Help – Corel Support.

I have just created an ISO DB with no errors using CVSX9

Did you first create a new AVCHD video file of your project, then use that to burn the ISO.
After pressing Burn the process should start with Convert Menu, if you see convert Title then the video/project is being rendered, not what is required.

I contacted Corel Support as suggested and they came back suggesting I clear temp files from AppData/Local and also to rename the 19.0 directory in AppData/Roaming/uLead/Corel VS Pro to 19.0_old. Did this as suggested by Corel. However, also discovered there's a second lead in the Pawtec box I'd not noticed before - a USB power lead; previously I've only connected the drive via a USB C lead. Plugged the power lead in as well and Bingo, it works! So not sure if all now working as a result of making the changes suggested by Corel or as result of supplying additional juice to the optical drive - suspect the latter; ie drive works ok for installing software from disc, burning cd's and dvd's, but when come to burning a BD, doesn't have quite enough power and VS comes up with the mis-leading message "No Burner Exists", when perhaps the correct message should actually be "Connect Aux Power to Burner". Dunno. Anyway, problem seems to have been solved and, as often happens with these things, I've learned some other useful stuff in the process. Thanks for your help guys. Best Wishes, Clive

Hi Clive

Thanks for the feedback, good that you have the drive working correctly.
I would also assume its the power lead rather than Video Studio, difficult to understand when it worked for other applications.

Anyway its working and that all that matters.
