video stutters or staggers between scenes

Hi, I using MovieFactory 4 and have noticed the following problem when I create a DVD. In the transitions between scenes I noticed a stutter or stagger of the video. The video freezes during this and the sound appears to distort and stagger. The whole thing lasts about a second or two. I do not see this in the preview on the PC. It is only aparent on the DVD.
The original DV was imported using MovieFactory's capture facility.

Are the videos on separate files?

If they are, they will be imported as a title. DVD title normally has a pause in between unlike chapter to chapter transition.

Try using the join video tool to merge separate video files.

I have a smiliar problem.

The files are seperate mpg's which I join using the join facility.

When I play the dvd the video freezes for a couple of seconds prior to the join, when the video unfreezes audio is lost for a second or two returns??
