Hi Everyone,
Many apologies if this has been covered before—seems impossible that it hasn't—but I searched the VS boards and didn't find anything specific to my question.
I would like to arrange photos on several different overlay tracks so that their bottom edges are aligned with each other. I was hoping that VideoStudio Pro X9 had a function similar to the "Align Layers" or "Distribute Layers" functions available in many graphic programs. I know I can align a single overlay track relative to the entire project's screen dimensions, but I can't find an easy way to accomplish my particular goal. I also know I can use a layout grid and have each photo snap to the grid, which is a little helpful but not nearly as quick or as precise as I'd like. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi Lepiota
If I understand correctly….I assume you are working with the overlay tracks.
There is an option by right click a clip for Copy Attributes, then select other clips for paste attributes. (Shift + Click will select multiple clips. )
That will set the position of each clip.
There is also an option to Customise Motion, this tool is very useful, once set the effect can be saved as a path. (Save To…) That saves the settings as a path accessed from the library to be used on any clip.
I would probably use the Customise Motion on the first clip, then Copy and Paste attributes to other clips.

Re: Align photos on multiple overlay tracks to each other?
Thanks, everyone, for the responses. I was afraid this might be the case. I had already come to the same conclusion re: using Customize Motion: seems to be the only way to really precisely control this sort of thing. I would certainly love to see this feature in a future release of VS....it seems as though it could come in handy in a lot of circumstances.
Much obliged!
