X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
I was thinking of updating my VS11.5, but when I install X9.5 Ult trial it's slow and unresponsive. After the 3rd track cut from 1st opening it takes 30 sec to do commands with 1080p 60fps mpeg4. Seems to work fine with simple MPEG2 stuff. Task Manager say 7 CPUs running at 80% - 55% avg for 8 CPU - with 3GB ram used.
Also does V9.5 work off-line?
Also the download was Ultimate, and I want the cheaper Pro. Does the paid key select the Pro making this the correct download. Basically does both use the same download.
I'm not keen on buying it if it's going to be that slow, as it's near impossible to use.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
I'll do another, but you can see at the end I'm clicking on something and nothing happens for 15-30secs.
I un-installed X9.5 and re-installed it and still it lags.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
you realy use a GeForce 210 GPU ? today at the eve of 2017?
This is the lowest of the Nvidia crop.
I don't know if it's your major hiccup but might.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
I see you have VS 11.5, have you tried using the same video clip, doing the same thing in it? I'm thinking that your system is not up to the task of editing that sort of file.
About the only difference between the regular (Pro) and Ultimate versions are the extra plug-ins like New Blue Effects are included with the Ultimate version. Yes you can run the program off-line. Every now and then you need to go on-line so their anti-piracy checking program can do it's thing.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
VS11.5 doesn't do MPEG4 at 60fps.
I doubt the video card is a problem as video editing is more processor dependant, and if you look at the small display in VS it probably barely taxing an onboard video chip.
I'll try with one display and see what happens.

Old gray, I don't know. How about 30P HD ?
my system is inferior to yours, but the GPU, and I don't have such problems.
It might be a trial ver. issue, you know...

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
1080p 30fps no diff.
I tried 1 monitor and no diff.
Looking at minimum req I shouldn't have a problem. Hardware hasn't been a problem since the start of the iX series Intels, as you can see by Corel's req.
Internet connection required for updates
Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, 64-bit OS highly recommended
Intel Core Duo 1.8 GHz, Core i3 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2.0 GHz, or higher
Intel Core i5 or i7 1.06 GHz, or higher, required for AVCHD & Intel Quick Sync Video support
Intel Core i7 or AMD Athlon X4 or higher for UHD or Multi-Camera editing
Intel 6th Generation processor (Skylake) is required for HEVC hardware encoding
2 GB of RAM or higher, minimum 4 GB for Windows 64-bit, 8+GB highly recommended for UHD or Multi-Camera editing
Graphics card supports DXVA2 VLD mode with Vertex and Pixel Shader 2.0 and a minimum of 512 MB VRAM for hardware decoding acceleration
HEVC import requires Windows 10 and graphics card hardware support
128 MB VGA VRAM
Minimum display resolution: 1024 x 768
Windows-compatible sound card
Minimum 6 GB HDD space for full installation.
Thats what I was wondering, if it was the trial. I don't have an income and buying it on hope is a bit of a risk for me.

30$ on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Corel-VSPRX9ULML ... B01AC3ZAHW
You can expect few differences from 11.5 to 19.5 . but it's all to the nature of your work and needs.

Can you upload the original clip you are using to a site such as Dropbox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive so that we can download it and do some testing with it?Old Grey wrote:VS11.5 doesn't do MPEG4 at 60fps.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
I think I tried getting X7 from Amazon 2 years ago and they didn't deliver to Australia.
The file comes from OBS and I'll bet it's fine, but here it is.

I think I need someone to test the trial to see if it's just that.

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
There would appear to be an issue with your clip, whilst I can cut the video into many segments, there does seem to be a slower response time, the more cuts that are applied, nothing like the response times you are getting, maybe 2 seconds.Old Grey wrote:I think I tried getting X7 from Amazon 2 years ago and they didn't deliver to Australia.

Then tried with one of my Mp4 videos 1280x720 60 fps, cuts were immediate, no matter how many cuts applied, then an Mp4 video 1920x1080 30fps, same result, cuts were immediate

Re: X9.5 Trial Slow and Unresponsive
There is no problem using the VS X9.5 on the video you supplied and I have a much inferior system than you. I have the ultimate version but I doubt that the trial version is the source of your problem.
I noticed that you are running a few programs while using VS. Could they be slowing down your response time?
