I received AfterShot Pro 3 (as well as Painter Essentials) with my new Sony a6000 camera, using the std. 16-50 lens for all of the photos taken so far, in Sony's RAW (ARW) format, and have installed Sony's RAW file viewing filter for Windows. Running Win7 Pro 64-bit with 16GB on an HP Z400 with Xeon W3565 processor.
The problem I'm having within AfterShot Pro is distortion of images, when I can clearly see there's no distortion in the original files.
After installing AfterShot Pro 3, I opened it up and accessed a folder with my RAW (ARW) files. The camera data was correctly retrieved from database and displayed. I also installed a couple of free plug-ins, including zPerspector (which is turned off).
When I started viewing my images, I noticed they would initially view perfectly fine, then would change to a wide-angle distortion for each and every image. When I look at the RAW files within my Windows Explorer with the Sony RAW file viewer filter, they look fine without distortion. I've checked just about everything I can think of and cannot get rid of this distortion, which I definitely do NOT want in exported files. I don't feel I should have to make adjustments within AfterShot Pro to correct whatever the program is doing, when the original files appear just fine without distortion.
Is this a problem with the information applied from the camera database? I've tried switching off this by going to Manual, and the distortion is still present within AfterShot Pro. However, when viewing the RAW files in Explorer, they're fine.
So far, this problem has me really not liking AfterShot Pro 3 at all.
Any suggestions?
