Can I merge two different projects into one?

First time editing video and have been using videostudio x9 ultimate for less than 24 hours, so yes, I'm new at this!

I have lots of footage from a trip I did. I want to make a separate video for each city I visited, aka, each city gets it's own project where I will edit the best videos from that city and string them together into a coherent movie about that city. But then I want to make a 'best of' movie from my entire trip, aka taking my favourite parts of each city project and put them into this new 'best of' project. I want to import clips from each city in their 'project' state, not in their finished movie state. Can I do that? If so, how?

Have a look at this very recent post. It takes a slightly different direction to your own, but the answers will nevertheless guide you in the right direction. The basic concept is called nesting projects.

I did this to compile a video of shots from a number of videos (one month to two years) of my granddaughter growing up.
Using "Import from Digital Media" I ticked the relevant folders in the drop down list and loaded them into the Library. I then compiled the video in the normal way.
