VSP Ult X9 included Music/SFX files

Post by ptbpilot »

I just purchased VSP Ult X9 and was happy to see that X9 comes with some nice generic sample music and sound effects, presumably to use with your projects. However, the music and sound effects have a continuous voiceover to them saying "This is a sample" or "Musaxk" (something like that). Does this voice carry over when the files are used in a project? Am I supposed to purchase these separately? (Coming from X7 I was surprised to see that I need to purchase Blu-Ray authoring separately now. In X7 I just had to enable it.)

Thanks.

Not many users actually require Blu-Ray authoring, so Corel save license fees by not including it as standard, then charge a small fee for those users that do.

$5 Each???!!! How can they ask that when music downloads from published artists on iTunes/amazon run 99c to $1.29 each? Do you at least get the right to put your video on YT using that music clip?

Are there any sites out there where you can download generic background music for free?

Thanks,

As for the price, the reason I suspect is because the tracks are totally editable to fit precisely into a specific space, with a beginning, a middle and an end. Other music will not be capable of this, since using an audio editor might give you a precise length, but depending on where it is taken from a piece of music, it will not have a proper beginning or end, and will need to have a fade-in and fade-out to make it seem less abrupt.

And if you think $5 is high, then SmartSound, which used to come with VS, charges US$99 for each of their discs, which have usually about 10 - 12 tracks on them. AS couple of free discs used to come with SmartSound with a variety of music on them, but if you wanted more, you had to pay.

As for free music, have a look at this site run by one of our users. It is all free, has a huge number and variety of original music, and only requires attribution in your projects. Moreover, he updates it weekly. http://soundimage.org/
