VS Pro X7 - No audio during video capture

Running Windows 7 Pro, Roxio Capture USB, Visual Studio Pro X7.

When I am in Preview mode the video & audio work fine. As soon as I click Capture Video the sound disappears. In one test the audio was there for about 1 second.

I just downloaded the Trial version of X9 and it will not recognize the Roxio Capture USB.

The Corel trial versions are limited/crippled in their features.

Why are you trying to use the Corel program with the Roxio capture device and not the Roxio software? Often a device will only work properly with the supplied software.
Which Roxio capture device do you have? From what VHS device are you trying to capture?

VS Pro X7 is NOT labeled as Trial version.

Using Roxio Capture USB UB315-E Ver. 3. Capturing from standard VHS player. The point is that the audio works fine in the Preview window but stops when the recording process starts.

Is Capture disabled in the X9 Trial version or is X9 simply not compatible with the Roxio Capture USB? Is there a Capture device that is compatible with Corel VS?

I have used VHS to DVD and its associated capture device (the same one you have) for many years and have never had any problems that are device related. Most problems were related to the poor quality of the now very old tapes.

Have you posted in the Roxio forum for that capture device? I assume that you have installed the Roxio software which will also install the required drivers. The drivers that Windows installs/uses do not work

Problems with Roxio did NOT pertain to the video capture but to other stability issues. Capture driver is installed and was working fine. Poor tapes also not the issue. I'm working directly off the TV feed thru the VHS recorder/player.

Again, with Corel X7 things work correctly in the Preview window but when I click Capture Video the audio ceases. That implies some incompatibility between Corel and the Roxio Capture USB.

Does anyone know of a Capture device that works with VS?
