I've tried exporting with smart render on, and with it off (as suggested somewhere on this forum).
I made a 15-minute video with MP4's...1080p, 2.7k, and 4k, and I'm trying to render out to 4K (XAVC).
The export goes all the way to almost finished (creates a 2 gig file, which is about right), but then fails...I can't get any video player to play it.
Any ideas?
Thanks...

I don't quite know about the codec and wrappers and such, but when I tried to export as "MPEG-4", (as opposed to XAVC) it worked.
Still like to figure out how to make XAVC work, as from what I read, it's a noticeably better looking video.

Hi Bill
Can you give more details of your original video file?
You seem to indicate using MP4 1920 x 1080, converting / rendering that to XAVC will not improve quality.
(cannot make a silk purse out of a pigs ear) even though your original may be a High Definition pigs ear.
If you wish to take advantage of 4K video then the original recorded footage should be in 4K.
So what are your original videos and what are you trying to make, a video for the internet / playback on pc or a Disc?

Re: On export - "File format mismatch 16803:1:2"
Hi Lata,
I am using 1080, 2.7k, and 4k video...I have maybe 30 clips in my timeline, a mix of those three resolutions, all in MP4 (a mix of GoPro files and DJI Phantom drone files) I'm not trying to improve any of that by using XAVC, just trying to render whatever highest quality I can get.
And in any case, my problem is that the render fails.
I'm trying to make a video of the highest reasonable quality...for use both on the internet, and for future editing.
Thanks...

Hi Bill
Same reply as your other post regarding Multi Trim, it does seem more than a coincidence that XAVC-S editing is having several problems?
Another post identified a problem with audio repeats, Corel provided a fix yesterday.
I would advise you to apply the fix to see if it improves things for you when trimming 4K video.
If that does not improve things then you should contact Corel Support explaining your problem.

If you provide a sample I will test that and if I can replicate will also inform Corel.

Lata I had actually given up on trying to export XAVC. But I will try the Hotfix and see what happens.
On another note, I was able to fix the "file format mismatch", when then resulted in VS failing to start, by uninstalling and reinstalling VS. My projects were all still there (as I'd expect, but it I held my breath for the entire re-install procedure).
