sample files won't go away
I have a very trivial problem that I hate to post about, but it's slowly driving me nuts. I recently installed (about 2 months ago) the latest version of VideoStudio - ProX9. Upon installation, VS displays the sample files (video, audio, & photo) in the upper right section of the layout. At that point, you simply delete the files, and they're gone, and they don't come back unless you import them. The problem is, every time I launch VS, the sample files all re-appear as if I had never deleted them. This does not happen, by the way, with my own personal files that I import into the library - they stay deleted when I delete them. So every time I launch VS, I delete those samples files because they take up so much room, and I don't like having to scroll down past them to reach my own video files. I've tried moving them into a different folder so VS can no longer access them, but VS still tries to access them and shows all of their thumbnails along with that mark indicating that the files cannot be located. I've launched VS a few dozen times, and the sample files are always there when I launch - it's as if they are immortal. I feel stupid for not being able to figure this out, aand I'm sure there is a simple explanation. Can anyone offer a solution? Thank you so much.

Re: sample files won't go away
Yes that is annoying. I've learned to ignore them. Are you aware that you can create your own folders to add your clips, photos, audio to? Click on the Add + button at the top of the Folders panel, and it will add another folder, and you can name those folders. However your folders will always be under the Sample folder, but when you click on any of the folders you created you no longer have to concern yourself with all those samples. When you have one of your folders active (open), adding your project's media will be inside your folders and not that immortal Samples folder.

Re: sample files won't go away
Thanks Ron for the tip. I used the Add button to create a "Current Project" folder. I put my own files in there, and now every time I launch VS, my Current Project files are displayed. The Sample folder no longer displays unless I click on it.
