Paintshop Pro X9 Text Problem

When I'm in edit mode, Paintshop Pro has for some reason started doing this and I can't figure out why. When I go into enter text, the last text is entered when I click on the screen (like I'm pasting it). Also if I go to move the text, it turns to highlighted flashing text and I can't move it. It's probably something really simple but I'm brand new to Paintshop Pro and have no idea what I've done or how to correct it. Anyone have any idea how to turn this off. Thanks for any help!

I got the 1st problem fixed, I had remember text selected and have no idea how that happened. The 2nd problem remains

For the second problem - are you trying to move it with the text tool or the pick tool or the move tool? With both the text tool and the pick tool if you double click inside the text area it'll enter into text edit mode. But that's the only reason it should ever do that. The other possible reason is if you change any of the text options on the tool options palette while the text tool is selected. In X9 if you change any text options such as font, size, or color, it'll auto-enter text edit mode on any text object you currently have selected. But it shouldn't do it when you simply attempt to click and drag.

That section is vague. Do you mean that after you apply the text it changes to highlighted flashing text? or you have applied the text and all seems normal and a bounding box appears around the text with a centre movement spot so that when you drag on that spot then the text becomes highlighted and flashing? Flashing is it actually flashing from positive to negetave or does it have what are called marching ants around the letters (same as if you use a selection tool).
Are you typing your text using Vector Text and not Selection or Floating text (under the Create As box).
