How to disable the Upgrade Helper in PSP X8?

How to disable the Upgrade Helper in PSP X8?

I would like to permanently disable the Upgrade Helper. It looks as though it is running as a background process, but I don't see it when I open Task Manager / Services. Please advise.

Try Task Manager>Startup and if it's there and enabled, then Disable it.
