While I was finally able to install VS Pro X9 to my Windows 7 Pro system, I encountered two error messages:
a) When first starting the program, it took forever to execute...then I got an error message: "No storage to load BB!"
b) Finally was able to start it again, I wanted to change the Output Folders to another HD, where I had over a Terabyte of disk space...
When I changed the drive preferences from C to F (including new paths), I kept getting this error message:
"Cannot write to specified disk. There may not be enough space on that drive...."
That is total BS!
What is that first error message? And how can I finally change my Preferences for Output to Drive F?
Thanks!

"No storage to load BB!"
Googling that error message brings up the first time we've seen that error message, back in 2009 I think. We still have no idea what that means, so no idea on how to correct it. It's been know to pop up from a couple of different actions. As far as the second error, is the drive granting read and write access to your system, and your account? By that I mean the login name you're logged into your computer as?
I installed an older version of VS yesterday, and initially had problems similar to this. For some reason the program would not write a folder needed to unpack and install. So I had to manually create the folder, after that it went fine. Not saying this is what you're experiencing but could be.
Have you tried using the "Run as Administrator" function? Right-click on the file and from the menu choose that option to see what happens. Also I've always disabled my antivirus program while installing.

That did it, Thanks!
I chose Run As Admin, and was able to adjust the Output paths in Preferences.
I've always gotten read/write access to Drive F without any trouble.
Also, is VS Pro X9 still similar enough to VS Pro X7 that I can still use the X7 User Guide with X9?

A while ago I ran a few tests and was able to replicate this error using nested projects, however may not be the only reason for this error

I don't mind referring to the X9 (online version) Users Guide, but I've already had the X7 UG printed out, at much cost.asik1 wrote:Yes, but why don't you read X9 guide as well?DayO wrote:That did it, Thanks!

I just like having a hard copy of the UG for reference--as I'm sure many other users do.
I gather there isn't an X9 hard-copy UG available, is there?

Consider getting a tablet and reading the pdf manual in the tablet. Much better than on paper since you can search, stays flat regardless of the page you are reading, etc.DayO wrote: I don't mind referring to the X9 (online version) Users Guide, but I've already had the X7 UG printed out, at much cost.
