This program is ridiculously buggy for supposably production software.
On AfterShot Pro 3 with the second update installed, if you go into your library and select any photo that is currently offline, the program crashes. This means that if you work like me and do a lot of editing on a laptop but then move all the work onto a NAS later, when you try to remove the references in your library to the old local copy you have to recreate the directory, add a photo, import it and then go into the library and select that photo, then you can click ctrl-a to select all of them and remove all versions and finally you can remove the directory from you library!
I also have crashes at random when importing. They seem to occur more frequently when importing from the NAS, but they also occur when importing form the local disk.
It seems to crash less frequently if you make sure the mouse doesn't move across the AfterShot 3 window whilst it is mporting, so best is to start importing and mimize AfterShot 3 immediately. It still crashes like that but much less frequently.
It occasionally interprets Canon Raw files incorrectly, showing up what looks like a memory error, but Irfanview shows the raw file is fine.
I don't think I've ever successfuly had an editing session that lasted more than a few minutes without it crashing.
Fortunately on the positive side it has never lost much data when crashing and the results when you can put up with all the crashing are worthwhile.

Re: AfterShot Pro 3 crashes
I posted a similar thing as a feedback to Corel. Removed folders or images stay visible as a thumb with a red question mark. Clicking on one of the thumbs makes ASP crash, but often just hovering a thumbs also makes the program crash, so I have to move my mouse cursor carefully around the thumbs window to click on another catalog folder, otherwise I can keep on restarting the program.
I already suggested a function within ASP to clean up catalogs if images and folders are no longer present in the original location, but your situation with offline folders is a little different.
Anyway, an annoying bug that costs a lot of time.
