Do not convert compliant MPEG files...yet it converts anyway
I am trying to burn a file to blu-ray that has already been converted to 29.97i 22,000kbps 224kbps. It has been converted in h264. I have Do not convert compliant MPEG files checked yet it tries to convert it anyway. I have gone to mpeg optimizer just to see what it thinks it is and it sees the file as frame based in details which it absolutely is not. I can even watch the video and tell its interlaced. Is there something in project properties or settings that could be tricking it into thinking its progressive and not interlaced or is h264 not compliant. Once I go to burn blu-ray I check the 2 places in the window where it has the burning properties and I have both parts set to interlaced, 22,000kbps and 224kbps audio. What is the deal?

Hi
Burning a disc using a compliant video requires the timelines to be empty when selecting Share – Disc – Bluray
We then add the compliant video to the burner, top left icon add video.
If the timeline has the project open when we do Share – Disc, the burner will open with the project showing
The project is not a compliant file and will require converting, after pressing Burn if the process starts with Convert Menu, all is well, if Convert Title then the files are being converted using the settings within the Project Settings cogwheel.
When you rendered the project to a compliant video file, how did you do that?
From the library or timeline, Please right click your compliant video file and choose properties, what are they?

First I added the file to the library by clicking the folder icon and finding it. Then I drug it from the list of files in the library to the timeline. Then I went to share and chose Blu-Ray. Once the next window opened I sure the file settings to burn matched the file I added to the timelime from the library.
It rerendered it during the burning process. Thats how I knew it wasnt seeing my file as being compliant.
I will try leaving the timeline black and then loading the file via add file after going to share and then selecting blu-ray
Ignore that AVI is in the file name in the timeline. the file was first converted to lossless AVI in another program then to 29.97i 22,000kbps 224kbps interlaced upper field first

Hi
AVI files are not Bluray compliant, you have to convert the project using Share AVCHD264

Hi
sorry but when I first answered the post there was no image.
If you use Alt + PrtSc it should copy the active window, the properties panel will be larger and easier to view.
Did you manage to test by adding the video to the burner?, like the other post you could try a shorter test video that should work and prove the correct video properties.
By creating a BDMV folder saves on making those coasters.

Sorry it didnt load the 1st time. What I tried to upload was too big and I didnt notice that it had told me that. It took around 43 minutes for the 1h 34 m video to convert menus, multiplex and burn so your solution did work for me. Is it normal for video natively done in 29.97P to ahve a soft motion blurring effect when converted to 29.97i

Re: Do not convert compliant MPEG files...yet it converts an
If the original video was 29.97P why are you converting it to 29.97i in the first place? 29.97P is Blu-Ray compliant. It is 59.94 (or 60)P which is not compliant at 1920 x 1080...

29.97P is not blu-ray compliant and if it is videostudio x9 wont let you burn in it. There is no option for frame based output once you go to share....blu-ray
