Hi lata. In my many uninstall/reinstall cycles, I've done it both ways. The first time I ran setup_Bonus.exe, the second time I used the web installer, and most recently I used setup_Bonus.exe to get where I am now.

I haven't had a chance to do a more thorough scrubbing and reinstall to see if that fixes the Rotopen issue - will be doing that today.

Soooo, no dice. I purged everything I could find associated with Corel, Ulead, proDAD - everything. Folders, files, registry keys. Everything. And still Rotopen won't work. Everything other plugin works fine, but I still get the license error with Rotopen. I'm stumped - I thought for sure that would get it, and now I have to fall back on the theory that something is wrong in my installer or the plugin itself...

If you feel the packages are corrupt then download again, you can choose to download only.
Then choose a different save location, you can then compare old files to latest.

I assume you are using the last downloaded Bonus Features and not the first downloaded folder
You should be able to download Main and Bonus without the Content

I just do not know what else to suggest, as you seem to have done more than required to get this working.
Try the reset by renaming 19.0 folder again, just in case?

I think you need to contact Corel Support to get this sorted, I would think their first request would be for you to download the packs again.

The only other trick we know of is to create a new pc user account, install using that account.
The account can be removed after installation, but again clutching at straws here?

Hi lata. I didn't really think the d/l was corrupt, but just for the heck of it I downloaded it again and the files are identical. If it's corrupt, it's corrupt on the Amazon and/or Corel end

Hi lata - waiting on a response from Corel support, but in the mean time, I found something interesting. I normally run VS in Windows as a standard user. If I run it as an admin user, however, Rotopen works fine. I can think of a couple of ways this might happen, but we'll see what support says...

One habit I've picked up after many years on the job - never do that unless there's absolutely no other way to do it

Hi lata, wanted to report back on the fix, and it is fixed.

Per your suggestion, we had renamed "\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\19.0" to "19.0_old". The thing is, there are 2 folders in \AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\ - "Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)" and "Corel VideoStudio Pro".

The trick was to actually rename the 19.0 folder in the "Corel VideoStudio Pro" folder, NOT the (x86) folder. So after doing that, it works perfectly now, and now you have one more thing in your bag of tricks for the next person having problems.

Many thanks to you and Ken, and hopefully this thread will be useful for anyone else having this problem. Not that I hope that anyone else has this problem, of course.

In which case, it appears you have installed the 32 bit version,
Yes there are two similar folders, one contains a few files, the other a lot of files 78Mb
For a 64 bit program those files will be here:-
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\19.0

If both folders contain a lot of files, then at some point both 32 bit and 64 bit programs have been installed.
Then when uninstalling the personal settings has not been removed.

That's the thing though. I didn't install the 32-bit version, so I suppose the Corel installer is a little sloppier than it should be.
