PSPX9 = Manage Tab shows no images ? [Resolved]

Post by TroyTheTech »

Just wondering if there is something I am missing or didn't do.... I just purchased and installed PaintShop Pro X9 (the gradient tool got me heh) and it all seemed to go ok, but the Manage tab seems to remain blank - clicking on Folders in the Navigation area, nothing shows in the middle. I tried Restarting and Reinstalling the Program again, checking if there were any Updates (there are some on the Corel site, but running them all just has them state "nothing needs to be updated", etc).

The program works great otherwise, I like the new additions like the hugely visible Text Templates, new Gradients Tool and more - it's just that I guess my Manage Tab isn't working - and I am just wondering if anyone else has any ideas, here...

Thanks!

Edit:
After more testing, I found that PSPX9 will in fact show Images, but only in some Directories and not in others.... For example, everything in the MyDocuments>Pictures folder is shown (yay!) but nothing in a Record>Screenshots folder is shown... odd. Perhaps it is a Permissions issue with PSP? I will continue to investigate...

Edit 2:
Well, the problem seems to have resolved itself... I did a few things after reinstalling it [not very scientific, I should have done one at a time, I know] - and there were a few Windows Updates (this was in Windows 8.1, it resolved itself before I could test it in Windows 10 on the same machine (dual-boot)); but regardless, everything seems to be working now - I will mark this as RESOLVED (as it more or less 'fixed itself' than anything I did to figure out exactly what it was (where I would then use SOLVED, so that others can know exactly what happened)).
Since this posting isn't very helpful otherwise, it can be deleted if you feel it is prudent, Moderators. Sorry to have cluttered up the Forum a bit with it, I thought I had a real problem here, that could possibly assist others after it was solved.
