Resizing a selected object in PSP X8

Post by grinolot »

I am selecting and cutting a head shot out of a frame and want to paste it in another image but probably need to make it smaller to match the other people.

Is this just a simple re-size?

This looks like a pretty good method - https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/arti ... ntShop-Pro

I didn't take the time to follow the reference you provided in detail. Your question was about adjusting size. Once you have selected the head shot, from the menu select edit/copy. Go to the image where it is to be pasted and select edit/paste as new layer. Select the layer and then the pick tool. That tool allows you to adjust the size.

Just a caution note. Make sure both images are the same dpi. Otherwise you can get 'strange' results!

Actually, make sure both images are the same PPI. You can't set or change DPI in a graphic editor because that is a function only of a printer and its software. You'll notice, if you look at the Image information of an image in PSP, it only shows PPI, not DPI, as does the Resize dialogue. :-)
